Ryan Sandes

Ryan is a South African trail runner. In 2010 he became the first competitor to have won all four of the 4 Deserts races, each a 6/7-day, 250-kilometer (160 mi) self-supported footrace through the Atacama Desert in Chile, the Gobi Desert in China, the Sahara Desert in Egypt, and lastly Antarctica.

In August 2012 Sandes bettered Russell Pasche's record for the 90 km Fish River Canyon hiking trail from 10 hours 54 minutes to 6 hours 57 minutes.

Hanli Prinsloo

Hanli is an 11 times South African Freediving Record Holder, filmmaker and avid Ocean Adventurer. She has a background in acting, documentary filmmaking as well as over ten years of competitive freediving experience. Her documentary work has taken her into the front-lines of social political conflict all over Africa, from Burundi to Uganda, South Africa and Zimbabwe to name a few. Recently converted cyclist.

Dan Nicholl

Dan Nicholl is an MC, broadcaster and writer based in Cape Town. A Contributing Editor to iafrica.com, Dan has extensive radio and television experience, having worked for six years for Cape Talk, hosted etv’s live Champions League football coverage, and worked as part of the commentary team at the Nelson Mandela Invitational.

Dan is also one of South Africa’s most prolific MCs, working across Southern Africa as an in-demand host of black tie dinners, awards ceremonies, charity auctions, golf days, and event launches.
